Cardinal Rule # 1
NEVER, EVER, NEVER GIVE YOUR KEYS TO A BUYER !
(i.e. I sold a bike once and the guy was like oh wow nice bike can I just take the bike right up the road and back? I told him NO WAY BRO, I never, ever give out test rides. He said oh ok you got it). Gave me the money and I told him here you go so long.

I told him to hold on to the cheque and he let me boot up the street and back.
As long as you have the cash you can let him take it for a ride.

It depends on the situation.
When I bought my bike, he said no test drive without cash in hand.
I told him to hold on to the cheque and he let me boot up the street and back.
As long as you have the cash you can let him take it for a ride.
