Stolen bike!!!
I dono if this is the right place to post but here goes. So a good friend of mine Had a 2007 cbr 600rr anyways he was looking to sell it so i posted it on Craigslist.. big mistake some guy calls says he has cash wants to meet at home depot we met up a couple hrs later talking threw phone on and off... when we get there he is leaning on what we thought was his car a nice newer bmw talked about the bike and he said his wife and kids where inside shopping, that he wanted to take it up the road for a test ride he would be right back...handed us keys to his car.. or so we thought the guy hauled *** never came back tryed his key ya didnt fit about 45 min later after the cops where there the owner of the car came out a 70 year old woman. This is crazy the frigging cop thought this was funny, not finding the humor here at all. Anyways guys watch out this was some crazy stuff i never imagined would or could happen..Damn thief was smart, hoping i run into him someday. cop says they will put out an app but the likely hood is slim that this sounds like a pro job
Ya it has man its crazy, I started calling around to all the police stations in the area know one was surpurised.. Just sucks being this close to cristmas and all i dono it wil work out, sooner or later he will get his.
****...sorry to hear thieves still pulling this serious buyer test ride & steal stunt. It's been done repeatedly... It gets much tougher to sell a bike now a days

Sorry to hear this. Having been a victim of bike theft, I know that feeling.
As a rule of thumb to any seller... *NEVER* ever let someone test-ride your bike unless there's cash-in-hand & a signed bill of sale (including DL# & verifiable address).

Cardinal Rule # 1
NEVER, EVER, NEVER GIVE YOUR KEYS TO A BUYER !
(i.e. I sold a bike once and the guy was like oh wow nice bike can I just take the bike right up the road and back? I told him NO WAY BRO, I never, ever give out test rides. He said oh ok you got it). Gave me the money and I told him here you go so long.
