Strap a hard case golf bag across the bike with crisscross straps is the best way, they stay put.

Here's mine, When you turn 16 in January and it is -20F outside, your parents give you a leather riding jacket as a B-day present because you already got a helmet as a x-mas gift.

Oh I've done the golf clubs on the bike a number of times, daytripper stand bag with shoulder straps.

I regularly ride with over 5 grand worth of pool cues on my back, losing that would not be pretty.

Probably the oddest thing I do is full value meals with drink in the trunk but I do have a cup holder mounted in there so its not too bad but the cashier usually goes bug eyed when I stuff it all in there and ride off.

value meals.... then here's one with some truth:

if you intentionally break all your taco shells because thats the way the are when you get home after going through the drive-thru on the bike

When the only reason you go and buy icecream in the summer is because it gives you somewhere to ride too

Your doing it all wrong.

Here's one then ...

If the trunk on your bike is fully carpeted and then complimented w/ cup holders, built in USB charging station and of course tool pouch with color matched tie downs.
