Beautiful day today. I wasn't liking Yolanda's suspension setup tho so I took her to Markbilt Racebikes in Millville, nj. I am pissed with BMW tho!

I'm trying to break Yolie in, varying the rpms and such so I was tooling along at 80 in sixth when a Ninja blew past me. Figured it was a challenge based on the traffic patterns. So BMW is in Sport mode, meaning all 190ish hp is available with some throttle response tuned down. I cracked the throttle wot and caught him almost instantly.

But damn rev limiter kicked in and he pulled away! Yolie barely hit 200 miles today on the trip to Markbilt ((GREAT guy btw)) so she still has the hard rev limit of 9k when this happened. But the f***ing Ninja pulled away. And I could almost feel Yolie sobbing in frustration when she hit 9k. She was pulling hard as hell right up to the rev limiter. And I had been short shifting to work her thru different rpms and gears!

God I can't wait for 600 miles!

 

BMW likes to control EVERYTHING, I'll have to buy a used one when I get one so I don't gotta deal with that. It would've made me hate the bike probably for a little while.
