this morning i was warming up the 929 to take a ride to the beach when all of a sudden it shuts off- i proceeded to restart the bike and it wont start- i turn the key and i noticed that i dont hear that nouse anymore ( fuel injection i think) , as i hit the start button it tries to start but just wont start. its gotten to the point where i think the battery is dying and my headlight wont go on anymore. what can the problem be? oil level is fine - it always ran fine.

 

check the fuses

 

i checked the fuses and all looks good. the is only one little fuse box underneath the seat correct ? i heard the fuel pump after removing and piutting back the fuses and it almost started then i never heard the fuel pump again after trying to turn it off then back on

 

charge the battery. although the bike shouldnt shut off once the bike has been started unless the stator is bad. try charging the battey.

 

Could be a lose conection if it is intermitent like that.
check your wiring levae the key on while you shake the wires.

First charge your battery.

 

i am charging th battery just in case but i know iots not that- i hope its not the fuel pumnp- this bike has only 3300 miles on it

 

it was a bad ground- fixed it
