Reminds me of a story of this guy lived with his dead wife for years. When it was discovered, she was buried, but he went and dug her back up. Tried searching for an article, but so far discovered this one:

Which in turn reminds me of my Aunt who's live-in girlfriend killed with a hammer as she slept and proceeded to live with the body for a month. I was one of the people that when it to remove personal affects...on Halloween. This was in an apartment building and no one noticed the smell.
