hot bodies undertail
has anyone bought the hot bodies undertail? im really wantin one, but just want to know any drawbacks from this kit. Also in the other thread about lock hasp access being a problem with some of the other kits, the pic i saw of the hot bodies kit has a relocated lock cylinder to the underside, has the kit changed to accomadate this ? want to be sure im gettin the right kit, the look is fantastic, also did the color of your kit match bikes color? also i could use some ideas for a tag mount. thanks and peace

I looked at the Hot Bodies, but ended up getting this one as it was reasonably priced and I didn't want to take a chance at getting boned for duty and UPS fees!

The directions they supplied sucked, but it wasn't too difficult to install provided you're mechanically inclined and you have a dremel to cut everything away. Just take your time and shave the old undertail away in pieces.
As you can see it was a nice fit and the color match was excellent!

I bought it off Ebay from an outfit from Quebec called Supermoto36 that sells all sorts of aftermarket bike parts and accessories. Cost about $240 Canadian delivered right to my door. What I liked about it was all the lights are included with it and easy to wire up. Here's the link right to it http://cgi.ebay.ca/Undertail-CBR929-...item3ef7fd3b78
The key worked when I installed in, but I had to use wire to attatch the mechanisms together. I installed an auto trunk opener to avoid using the key which was cheap and easy to install. So, really sweet to just push a button and it pops open rather than reaching under with key!
Good and bright at night and I didn't really lose any of the trunk space, so overall still lovin it!
