Hi guys just got my hot bodies undertail for the 08 cbr1000 has anyone taken the tail apart and is it gonna be a pain in the butt< let meget some input on this before i start

Never installed a Hotbodies on a 1000 before. But no, not too hard to remove/re-install tail. Hotbodies tail part, I dont know. I did put on one my F4i and it wasnt too difficult. Couple hours I think. Maybe 3.

Just careful taking tail off. Pull out GENTYL.... lol, dont wanna crack it! I've never cracked mine, but I people who have

 

The install is a real PITA.
It took me and my buddy a good portion of a Saturday to finish the job.
It would have helped a lot if the instructions were clearer.
The end results are outstanding though.
It is the best undertail around. It makes the '08 look like Carlos Checa's World Superbike.

I just cant get into the Hot Bodies undertails.. I guess its just one of those things that you either love it or you dont. Looks good, but too much of one color for me. Nice work getting it all on there. I have seen some hot bodies installs go really bad..

 

The Hotbodies looks a lot like the racing tails. Here's a picture of Carlos Checca's WSB CBR1000.
Their fenders also are a copy of Moto GP fenders.
