I'd offer 8k. You won't get it for that, but you can haggle with them and if you can get it for 9, that would be a good deal imo.

I've read a few posts recently where some dealers are selling new 2012 1000RR's for slightly over $10,000. I certainly wouldn't pay close to that for a 600 of the same year.

man, i would low ball the **** out of them, and see what they come back with. $9k seems WAY to high to me - for a cash offer

Dealers make some money off of the financing so they'd probably be more likely to wheel and deal if you were financing. TBH, I'd move quick, but don't show your cards to the sales guy (i.e. don't act like you're desperate for the thing). That deal is probably with bonus bucks and each dealership only gets so much in bonus bucks so once that's spent, that deal will probably go with it.
