Spring Rolls, Duck, and Crabcakes

Fresh Spring Rolls (makes about 20 rolls)

Fresh steamed shrimp (in beer if you can spare a few)
Fresh steamed pork loin (about a pound)
Fresh Mint Leaves
Fresh Green Leaf Lettuce
Rice Vermicelli
Hoisen Sauce with Peanut Butter and crushed peanuts
Rice paper (dipped in hot water for a few seconds and they're ready to roll)

Duck

One or two ducks marinated overnight in Chinese Orange Duck Marinade (add a little garlic and ginger to make it special)
Ronco Rotisserie oven
1 hour of Rotisserizing

Crab Cakes

A pound of jumbo lump crab meat or claw meat
A pound of ground pork
Cilantro
2 eggs
1 small onion
teaspoon of garlic
teaspoon of Vietnamese chili sauce
tablespoon of fish sauce (Squid brand of course)
teaspoon of salt and pepper
Handful of bread crumbs
1 chopped scallion

Mix ingredients with hands and form burger size patties... fry in oil until golden brown and serve with steamed rice... not a bad meal

^^^Yeah, I saw the other thread. Sorry. I hate to make assumptions, and I know all latinos aren't Mexicans, but I thought that phrase (pinche hota) was strictly Mexican. Latinos kick *** by the way. You're the best culture to hang with (well except for Greeks-lol).

i can't make anything. popcorn and... popcorn. spaghetti but not meatballs. i can heat up spaghetti sause and mix the two though.

i can also make chips and salsa, easy mac, hot dogs, salads, nachos, and toast. sometimes if i'm feeling really foolish, i will make teriyaki chicken... but that's pushing it.

I can also scramble eggs, bacon, and put sausage inthe forman grill. i still haven't figured out how to make french toast yet.

i tried making tacos a few weeks ago but i burnt the shells.

i can put cheese on crackers and make a PB&J as well.

that's about it.

Chicken and dumplings.
Meatloaf & baked potatoes and green beans.
Waffles & bacon & eggs
BBQ Steak, mashed potatoes, vegetable of your choice, salad.
Taco Soup - a crock pot dinner
Roast Beef.
Shrimp (or chicken) creole - but dang it, I lost the recipe my brother gave me. Gotta get it from him again.
Chili. I make it everywhere from totally bland to sweaty forehead hot.
Teriaki Chicken.

Nuts. Now I'm hungry but it's too late to eat.

This is the choice Wisconsin meal, at least when I'm in the kitchen.

Brats, boiled in beer.
then in a frying pan brown them with Southern Comfort
Get distracted while taking pulls off the SoCo bottle
Make sure you have a friend nearby that can grab the whole operation off the stove without spilling his beer before you burn it to ****.

I usually just stand over the frying pan and breathe deeply. Add friends and cold beer as needed, maybe a game of bags too.
