Well i was just surfing the net and came across this and was thinking hell it would be a fun toy and hopefully a good learner bike you guys think its anything compared to the kawasaki ninja250R? http://www.scooterdepot.us/details.asp?ProductID=483 let me know on what your opinion is.

 

that thing looks like if u touched it it would fall apart. I would stay away from chinese made bikes

 

My opinion is the following: It's a big piece of $hit! Basically something you have all of your buddies come over and play with for a day and make sure it no longer runs by the day's end. Not even close to the Kawi ninja 250. Wouldn't even put that Chinese or N/S. Korean junk on the road with other cars.

 

There is just no way that something like that will copmare to the craftsmanship of the heavy hitters. I think it would be a waste of money considering what you can get a Kawi 250 for (new or used). Better ways to spend your money.

yea i was a bit sckeptical about it cuase of the price the whole phrase "You get what you paid for" it just seemed a bit to good to be true a 200cc bike that cheap yeah right

 

Fit and finish on Chinese stuff leaves much to be desired - although you have to love the price.

As others have said in this thread, you get what you pay for. This bike *could* last you quite a while, but eventually it will need parts. Where will they come from? Your local motorbike dealer? One of those boutique stores that sell apparel, sprockets and light bulbs? Probably not... it's a disposable bike. I suppose most bikes are, in the long run - but this one is disposable in the short run!

 

I keep seeing this bike in cycle world magazine, i can't remember who makes it but it looks just like th 06 gixxer and they come in 250s and 500s ... they probly run around $3k and they look pretty good

Are you thinking of the Hyosung? I've seen those too and look pretty cheap also. Sport rider did a comparo test of that and it actually did fairly well. In the long run though, I'm sure it's a different story.
