Default Good but bad!!

well on august 21st i dumped my cbr for the first time for the bike and me on HWY181 here in NC going into a curve!!sustained some really good bruises thanks to my leathers cuz it could of been worse!!I luckly slid under the guardrail and i didnt have the extra money to fix the bike so i sold it to a guy in tennessee and I went and bought an 06' Kawasaki 636!!yeah i kinda betrayed the honda family but ill never forget my first bike and I do love hondas.I do think that the CBR handled better but just to let yall know!! I dont degrade Hondas like alot of Kawaski,Yamaha,suzuki..etc riders do!! they all say"oh I know your 636 is better than a Honda"Then I say you will never appreciate a Honda until you own one!! because Hondas are such powerful machines,Ive met a guy with an old superhawk that had 90,000 miles on it and still running great. but you know what nothing is like your first bike. The 636 does have more power but overall for a great bike the CBR whoops its ***!!I will still stay in tune on the CBRforums because yall have helped me alot with my first bike!!If anyone has any questions i will try to answer!!Plus i will buy another CBR prolly 1000 so to all CBR fans be careful and watch for gravel and wear your leathers!!and a bad day for my CBR but a good day for a new CBR enthusiest!!until next time keep the CBR's poppin!!
thanks,
Likitysplit

Yeah, could have been worse. Admire the Kwaka 636, Kawasaki build a decent bit of kit. Truimph now have their bigger 600, so expect to see the others follow suite, good thing to, not all of us race bikes, so no need to stick to the 599cc limit. I've always thought 650cc to be a good size for power to weight, give you the same top end with a bit more mumbo down low.
Good luck, keep away from the Armco.

We don't care so much as what you ride... but we know more about Hondas here. So we might not be as much help on the specific questions. I've rode the 636 a few times, great bike. The only thing I didn't like was the front. Hard to explain. You remember when you sat on your CBR, you could see the gauges and windscreen? On the 636, myself and the other two guys that tested rode it that day noticed you can see the plastic in front of the windscreen going down to the headlights. Not a big deal, but it made me feel like I was sitting wrong or too far forward.

Glad to hear you're alright after your get off. All bikes are fun to ride and that's all that really matters.
