hey guys, i am looking at APE cam chain tensioners on ebay and they dont have the gasket with it but when i look at the knock off ones they come with a rubber gasket.

should i get the cheaper knock off ones or should i buy a genuine APE cct?
where do i find a gasket for the ape cct? i cant seem to find one anywhere online...

you use an oem gasket... or you can hi-temp silicone a gasket.


you can use either. all it is - is a bolt that presses on the guide...not that big of a deal. i would use some mild loctite or maybe even some hi-temp silicone on the actual bolt between the base and locknut- so that when you lock the lock nut down it'll seal all the way.

 

with the ape cct you would have to order the gasket separate, just go to their website.
or do as conrice said and use a silicone gasket, or you could get a roll of gasket material and make your own.
