Default RE: Went and looked at new bikes

you'd have a better chance of someone pulling up next to you with the exact same bike if you bought it that way from the factory than buying aftmkt fairings. i live in a podunk eastern, ky town and some kid on campus has a repsol 1000rr...what's that tell you?

if you're worried about insurance being high I can't see how you're even playing with the idea of getting a $10,000 bike after killing your other one. I'd have fixed the one you had or got something, anything with 2 wheels and some decent power. who couldn't have fun on a $4,000 929? personally i can't justify taking out a fat loan for a brand new bike unless you're making a killing...mostly because at any given time something can happen, be it in your control or out like gravel in a corner or something lame, hence the stockpile of bikes with salvage/rebuilt titles. Anything to avoid continuously paying for a bike that could end up in a crumpled heap..insurance companies love that ****. A motorcycle should never run the risk of making you poor.

#002 has nothing to do with riding. it's just one of those little things that would make you even more pissed if you jacked it up going through the corners one sunday afternoon. a collectors item if anything.

good luck on the bike search
