check out a local florist. they are the ones that have a constant order of flowers year round, thus giving them a price advantage over say a grocery store or what not. a local florist prices are relatively close year round, atleast that's what i was told when i picked some up a few weeks ago for the gf's bday. she did tell me that her distributor does raise the price a little during the peak times, but not as much for her since she is a regular buyer.
I'm the luckiest guy in the world...my wife wants nothing to do with Valentine's Day. She says its a big waste of time and money. She told me to go get something for my motorcycle instead.
God Bless the ground she walks on

Dude.... COSTCO!!! i'm not kidding, they don't deliver, but you get more brownie points if you give them to her yourself anyway... 2 DOZEN FOR $15!!!! and they are pretty nice. If you don;t have a Costco, i am sure a BJ's or Sam's Club would be similar.
I too am off the hook for flowers anc candy on this halmark invented holiday. a 300% markup on flowers is re-donk-uless and my Girlfriend agrees. Best of luck with this

I told my girlfriend that Im not getting her flowers like every other guy is the first V-day we were together. She was fine with it. Same goes this year. We are just going to stay home and make Hors D'Oeuvres and drink some wine. Cheap, fun and romantic.
If you are going to get her flowers florists are not that much cheaper. And hurry!
