Default U-turns and really tight corners...

so far im doing pretty good as far as cruising around on my bike...but i havent got the hang of making that slow u-turn or REALLY tight corners...any advise?
i think its cuz im just too worried about dropping it that i tend to take wide easy turns. i know im doing somthing wrong...[&o]. any tips/advise would really help...

Take the MSF course. Shell out 235 bucks and take the course. It works. But until then here is a tip. When making U- turns. In whatever direction you are doing the slow u turn. You are going to put your weight on the opposite side peg and look through the u turn. Turn your whole head. Push down on that outside peg with your leg. Thats all. Try that.

Great advice, but it is $250 here. They will teach you eveything you need to know.

get/read a copy of "total control"by lee parks-it is cheaper then attending a
msf course-you should still take a msf course!!
again,look through the turn-as stated from-cbr1000rrmarine-if you still feel uncomfortable
-then when you are turning look all the way behind you and stand on the outter peg!!
that is the most counter weighting you can do-if after that-you still feel uncomfortable
apply more throttle-as that will correct it for you!!!

Get some sleep...then get up at like 2 am..and go to a Walmart...and to practive your tight radius turns..circle a light pole...and go lower and lower each time..im sure youll find that you can get quite low..almost parralell to the ground before it kicks out...but dont try it all at once....hangin turns in like anything else...practice practice...and most of all..being confident..look thru the turn..and know where your goin after the turn....Lesson 2....Avoiding target fiaxtion...LOL

+100 for me and I took the MSF. I could take those bikes and lock the bars for the figure 8 and aced that test. Doing it on a 600 sport bike is much diff than a 250 nighthawk though. I also have a hard time with target fixation, it sucks. These pot holes and bumps and things that I don't want to hit, I'm just like a deer in headlights to! I'm convinced that my bike just can't make u-turns. I think it's broken or something.

damn that sucks for you guys... it's only 25 bucks here in Ohio...well ...was... now they've raised it to 75. But defintley helps. I had a little GZ250 suzuki that was actually pretty decent....

Get your positioning right first of all. Secondly and finally, when you turn you should be in first gear, enter the turn and pull the clutch. If need be blip the clutch until your at the proper angle like your going around a normal turn and accelerate out of the hole.

THANX GUYS! imma be out practicing...and the MSF course here is kinda expensive...i think...i'll go check it out...thanx agen!
