wow guy u get mad very easily!
I am asking this because the dealer guy told me to rent the bike.
He says its the best bet. Anyways what makes you think that I will be renting bikes every time i go to the track?
You think Am AN IDIOT to spend that much money.
Really i just want to get a feel of being on track since i haven't ridden more then half a year! OK!!!!!!!!!!
A HOLE

listen man, nobody is geting "mad" or trying to be rude here we're just trying to help

in my opinion, the dealer that told you that is very wrong

if you go out on the track on a bike you've never ridden, you won't be very comfortable and that can cause problems

honestly anybody thats done trackdays will tell you to use your own bike, ESPECIALLY for your first track day
mostcompanies that rent bikes for trackdays do it for riders that don't have bikes to ride or for riders that are traveling too long of a distance to bring their own bike

LOL you're totally misreading me. Though I think your rationale(s) for renting a bike to go to the track are ill-conceived, I haven't come down on you in any way. So there's no need to call me A-HOLE.

No, I've never been to Pocono. I hear its a great track. You may want to also consider VIR (Virginia Int'l Raceway) since its not that much further.

I'm on the west coast so its not likely I'll get to east coast tracks unless I suddenly get an AMA sponsorship.

I'm on long Island. Pocono is three hours from me. VIR is seven hours. Pocono is good for a day but VIR will be better for at least aweekend. I'm going to Pocono for one day in April, September, and October. I'm spending a week in Virginia in July. Keep the girl happy with Bush Gardens and Water Country U.S.A. I'll be happy sliding across the Patriot course. IMO VIR is too far to drive, spend one day, maybe crash and then drive back home PISSED.
