I'm a fairly pessimistic person especially when it came to humans. But lately I have truly been amazed by the motorcycle community.
Here in Georgia we had a Benefit ride for a Police Officer who was stabbed 10x and is recovering. They ended up having 675 riders. From Harley's to Stretched Busas and everything in between.
Then on another local Georgia Forum we had a guy who joined and started riding a Ninja250. (Readers digest version) Which in a parking lot there was an impact between his bike and an SUV. The SUV took off and he followed them to their home(I guess to get insurance info) and was shot by these girl's father 3 times including a shot in the back in which the kid died.
The kid was a member for less than 2weeks before he was killed and in less than 3days they organized a ride that got 165 riders with police escort and I believe some money raised.
Then this thread just amazes me. I don't think you get anything like this anywhere else.

One thing I think people are missing is the fact that the repo man was nice enough to give him some more time. The dude is just doing what he's told by his boss. Yeah, the position isn't something we look highly upon, however, he is just a working Joe like most of us. Don't be hating on him. He was very courteous in allowing Blinding to have another week with his girl.
Just look at what this week has given Blinding. I will not speak ill of the repo man and neither should anyone here.
Blinding's situation is different than someone who simply overspent and has to pay for it. He was, by no fault of his own, put in this situation and he was given a second chance by a guy who did NOT have to give it. He could have very easily done his job and taken the bike immediately. He didn't.
Wow, this is absolutely amazing to see. A link to this thread was posted on DodgeForum.com and I have to say you guys have restored my faith in humanity, I'm normally cynical about people which only makes this more amazing. $10 your way man, use it towards gas or whatever, don't worry about paying back.
(Don't mind the truck in the sig, don't have a bike although I want to get one after I'm out of college
)

im glad to see that everyone was able to come together and give someone a gift, which was unexpected and restore everyones positive beliefs in others.
Another thing that amazes me is how many people jumped over from other forums where a link was posted.... and helped out the cause. Way to go everyone.

Hey Asmittie84 - bikers all over the world do it all the time.....
We raised over US$150 000 here in South Africa to get a little girl a bone marrow transplant 2 years ago.......
We don't have the numbers of riders you guys in the States do, but the charity efforts would amaze you.....
Annual national Toy Run, around 50 000 bikes from 5 centres nationwide, donating toys to underprivileged kids at Christmas.......Clubs "adopt" chldren's homes, hospices etc and raise money to help them meet commitments.
Bikers are probably the most misunderstood group of people anywhere........and when one of our own has problems, not of his own making, we step in, just like what happened here.....
and we'll keep doing it.......
We are who we are, no excuses, no complaints.
Best wishes.

I hope BlindinOrange has enough to pay all his outstandings, and maybe some other issues too.
He surely deserves it.

We drive wrecklessly.
We carry handguns.
We wear big bulky jackets to pick up girls.
I really don't see how were are misunderstood......
Some people honestly believe all this too....fascinating really.
P.S. I got completely sidetracked while reading the above post. Sounds like the bike should be paid off, but what about gas and insurance?
Reactivating my paypal account, live to post another day blinding

Some are rebels without a cause, others are rebels without a clue....he he
Wrecklessly - beautifully put, if that was what you meant.......
What - carry guns ? Us ? No, Officer, you've been misinformed......!!
Bulky jackets to pick up girls..?.....now there's a thought......maybe an orange in my speedo swim shorts would work better .....he he, but at 100 years old, even that's a stretch.....I'm not getting too many nowadays, maybe that's why......he he (the oranges are smaller this season)
Enjoy your day - I hope blindinOrange is doing likewise.....he deserves some good fortune.....

IUSED to like oranges. The only speedo I want to see is telling me how fast I'm going.
