For those of you that are bored
where I work I do both... both design work, as well as some cad work strictly based on what my boss gives me
alot depends on who you work for...
but at alot of places, engineers come up with this oh so brilliant idea
little unbeknown to them mets work in the real world, where nothing ever can be produced as originally designed, so its our jobs to fix the design flaws in the engineers original design
and making a product actually work
hence why we take welding classes, metallurgy classes so on and so forth...
to show us no matter how well a machine is deigned, alot comes down to how the components were made and assembled..

Hey bro I know what you mean. Nights at my job suck *****! ha ha I am a Correctional Officer and we are not even allowed internet access ( thanx to other CO's frigging that up) or phones ha ha. makes for a long night. Luckily Inmates leave the Cycle world out for me to read ha ha.
ha nice inmates huh. Guess it doesnt hurt to be on a CO's good side. My friends dad is one at the maximum security prison here in nj. Hes a bad motherfu****, we used to be terrified of him. Not somebody id ever want to **** off.
Ha Ha yeah I work at a county place up hear so the Inmates are pretty docile. mostly drug or OUI and domestic. Plus its in my home town so I see old school mates from time to time ha ha.
Well it doesnt sound too bad actually when you put it like that maine haha.
And yeah after looking through the "M" majors....this god forsaken school only has MOT(management of technology) which is in the business school not engineering, MEE which is just the general mech engineering, and ouuuurrr MET major is metal smithing and thats in the art school. Kind of relieved now that i know i didnt miss out on this.
