I think with forums that have people from all sorts of different countries participating, that the smileys are (as chainstretcher mentioned in another post) are the only way to sometimes explain things as far as the attitude behind the text goes..
It is so easy to misinterpret the short cut style of some members.
Yer I use them to obscene levels to make sure I don't upset too many people ..[:-]
My advice to you and anyone is to look away from the little buggers when replying , or the dreaded disease will get you for bloody sure mate ...
You can see what has happened to poor Julesbot..she obviously did not look away!! .. a sad sight indeed
