Why? because its just stupid and dangerous. Why is it dangerous? because you never know what another dumbass on the road is gonna do, when they are gonna switch lanes w/o signaling, etc. And at 20+mph over the speed limit all it takes is one brief nano second of not paying attention and you're dead and possibly injured or killed someone else that was just trying to drive home. See what I mean? And there are quite a few on here that does that crap and dont hide it. Yes we bash on em, but they also admit its stupid they do it. Like I said b4, theres a time n place for everything. Busy highways with soccer moms yakking away on the cell phones isnt it tho.
I do, but I was talking about if you were indestructible...Like superman

Anyways I really do get your point, I'm not stupid as most of you think. Nor do I have a death sentence. The point of my original post was that if it hadn't been for the so called squids, I wouldn't be riding. Thanks for your insight though.

how about..... if it wasnt for your exposure to motorcycles and their abilities you wouldnt have been inspired to become a rider yourself and hence pay it forward and help to inspire a new generation of poetntial riders.

Thank you,, Highways get backed up for miles because your 100mph debris trail. Double yellow lines are merely suggestions. Thanks to you annoyed cops look for an excuse to pull us over because of your propensity to ride off a mountain and wrap your idiot body around a tree.

While I get it, and definately wish I was at one with my bike enough to pull off a rediculous wheelie (or I guess afford to replace the parts that a rediculous wheelie breaks) or zoom down a mountain at 100mph you can't deny that that behavior drives people nuts and makes it harder and harder to ride. Too many people using nice twisty roads as their personal race track and wiping out themselves or others is what's going to lead to more crackdowns which kind of defeats the purpose of inspiring riders

Yes, its because of your "heroes" that I got pulled over on a road in the middle of NOWHERE saturday night for doing 10 over the 45 mph speed limit and the FHP exits his car with gun drawn, shocked that I didn't try to run and wondering what I had in my tank bag. Once he realized I had my endorsement and no reason or intent to run, he was quite pleasant in his obvious surprise.

Your heroes are friggin jackasses. It's hard to swallow that you went from a complete 180 with your first few posts, in which you deified squids and lashed back at people calling you on your crap, to totally being understanding of other's opinions when you only got one other idiot on here singing the squidly praise. Give me a break, you must have felt like a fool and wanted to recant to save face. There is nothing cool about endangering others. You're not superman, and neither are your squidley idols. Bikes do get wrecked, as do cars, and people die.

Yes cause I went from a 180. Your a genius. Thanks.

How come I can't post something, with my feelings on a subject, but still understand where others are coming from? That's saving face or being mature about it? I feel like a fool replying to your post.

Welcome to the internet where you are going to get ganged up on.

Just let it go man, the personal attacks are a little overboard that's why some are trying to rephrase your post and doing it without attacking you.

I still remember when I decided I wanted a bike, like 4 years ago going down a beautiful country road in a "fast"ish car taking some really sharp turns quick (probably less than 10 above the limit, that's how tight these turns are) with a CBR behind me the whole time until we get to a straight part with a legal passing zone and he blew by me like I was standing still,,,, with a front wheel in the air.

Could he have been nailed for speeding? Yes. Was he cutting anybody off or even passing illegally? No. I was impressed and went home and googled Honda's motorcycles because all I knew was it had the winged emblem and I had been owned.

Yes it's fun and yes if everybody is honest most are guilty of some infraction, speeding, rolling through a stop sign whatever.

Guess it depends on your definition of squidly too, mine involved endangering others or making my life more difficult. I guess some people's might be more strict. Yours isn't I don't think.
