I only did it cause i was in sixth gear 60 miles away from home when my clutch cable snapped. My wife was about thirty mins behind me on the interstate so i didnt want her to worry. When i got off the interstate i managed to slam it to third and time about 5 lights and got the bike to my driveway! haha 5 miles doin 25-30 in a 45 zone. haha

So I tried to do it today to see if I could (down a private road only a few houses and a 40mph zone) I completly f'ed up what I was trying to text. This was just an experiment to see if I could do it (read previous post on this topic). Got the glove off, not an easy task in it's self with full length gloves. Got the phone out of the tank bag. open the keyboard and the keys on my rant are too small to text while standing let alone riding.

By the way I don't think less of your riding ability I just think less of you as a person in general. I mean you might be able to ride well, but thinking might not be your strong point.

i can admit to takin my phone out of my pocket and checkin for messages( while riding). only have done it late night on highways with no one around.

sending a text back, doing anything with a phone in traffic, or through any intersection has got to be one of the stupidest things i have ever heard of.
