i just ordered two tickets online for a concert from ticket master.com each ticket was 35 bucks time 2 should be around 70 bucks i can live with sales tax but by the time i got convenience charges service charges and even a charge to email me the ticket so i could print them the pair ended up costing close to 100 bucks what a freakin scam! but oh well what else are you gonna do sorry just had to rant about that for a little

 

Thats why Pearl Jam quit touring. They would set the cost of the ticket at like $30 and ticket master or whoever was selling the tickets would bump the cost up 2 or 3 times the amount.

 

Some of the airlines are doing that now too. You get to the airport with your prepaid tickets - only to be charged "fuel surtax" when you checkin. Or the quoted amount is less than the final amount at the time you purchase the ticketd online due to added charged - legal but questionable ethically

AHH I hate that too. It happened to me last week. Mine were $35 and for two the total was $135. What a total and utter scam!!

 

This is along those very same lines. I hate how sales tax is never added into the price. I wish you would just pay the F*CKING amount shown. God damn there are some things I can't stand about this country. It all started with some jackass businessman trying to make more than his competitor and the every other jackass businessman caught on and now we all have to deal with it. If tax were included you would never hear one complaint and the slightly higher prices would bother no one. But no, they had to make this everyones problem. I'd move to Oregon if there was anything to do up there. The only thing America has done stupider than that is switching to the metric system. Don't get me started on that.

 

I bought a package to fly to Vegas and my fiance and I booked the flight and they tried to charge us $10 to get assigned seats. I already payed 300+ and they want to add 10 more. Douche bags.

 

i hate convenience charges too, i bought some tickets to see offpsring like 2 years ago, they cancelled the show and when i returned the tickets they kept the $8 service charge per ticket, so it cost me $16 to have the concert cancelled. so they make $80,000 for cancelling shows, im in the wrong business. however this was star tickets. ticketmaster refunded my full price on the AFI show.

i remember back in the day if you went to the actual venue to buy your tickets they waived the fee's but you cant even do that any more the only thing that saves you is the 2.50 delivery charge to email them to me...and since when does it cost 2.50 to electronically generate and pair of tickets and hit send! i have to stop thinking about it before i start to hemorage

 

yeah quite a few, and ive seen offspring 2x already, but those shows were within the same month and needless to say i was pissed cause i didnt get to see either.
