You don't need a bank to purchase a home. You can fill out the necessary documents at the court house, if you know what to do. Instead, use a title company as the intermediary. This will allow you buy title insurance (plus allow pay for them to check the deed to make sure there are no outstanding liens) if they screw something up, then at least the insurance will cover you.

Seriously stupidquestion that I can't get flamed for in this thread...haha. If I let my laptop sit for about five minutes, I have to unlock it. I went into "power settings" in my control panel, and I adjusted the settings for battery power and when plugged in so it doesn't go to stanby. It still does it. Is there somewhere else I need to go to other than "power settings"?

 

Are you sure its going into standbye or is it a lock on resume for a screensaver? If so check your display settings under the control panel.
