so i accidentally locked my sim card and kept trying to unlock it..but i didnt know the code and now the customer service lady said the sim card is permanetly lock..what kind of B/s is that..if only i would have called 1 min earlier..any one know some crazy trick att doesnt know about??

did you try 0000, sometimes that is a default code for new devices like bluetooths and whatnot. if not there are only9999 combinations, 0001, 0002,...

Sorry buddy...I've seen it a thousand times. Once the card is locked, it is permanently locked for security reasons. Gotta replace it.

our sim cards have PUK codes, and they are 8digits...but after like 4 trys there locked for good.

all sim cards have PUK locks as well ... but yes once you try too many times it goes into full sim lock which is unfortunately where OP is at

Nope...the reason you can't use the card anymore is that it's been locked out for security reasons...it is a good thing (if you can look at it like that) because if someone had stolen your phone it would've made everything on there locked so people couldn't get confidential information.

Any numbers saved specifically onto the phone will stay there, otherwise you're back to square one.
