Lady on her cell driving in my lane around a corner.... She was coming around the corner and went way over into my lane, I opted for the ditch/raveene.. She kept driving I slid 20 feet or so down to a creekbed... The bike is scratched pretty good on the left side, same side my brother in law messed up, ****ty thing is I have my vorstex sliders sitting on the counter at the house.. not installed.. Anyways, no major damage to the bike, other then the paint, which I will now really need to redo... It smoked pretty good when I started it back up and leaked a little oil, I figure it was because it was on it's side... It better be anyways. I let it run and it did not leak any additional oil, it was about two drips.. I am ok, I was wearing all my gear, and only recieved a small abrasion to my left knee.. I will post up some pictures tomorrow of the damage, It's purely cosmetic, but damnit...

that happens in a road where i live, crazy curves and idiots on their cells decide to drive in the middle of 2 lanes because otherwise they'd have to concentrate and get off their cell. ohhh no betty can't wait to hear about your date last night so let's kill people instead...

No-one got her plate, I slid too far down the raveene to see it... And the next person to drive up just gave me a description of the car, which I already knew... My knee is swollen up today and so is my wrist. [:'(]

 

Glad to hear you are OK enough to type. If you went down on some soft stuff, dirt or loose gravel, the sliders would probably have not helped at all.

 

yeah my knee took the brunt of it on the edge of the road, from there I kinda "surfed" the bike untill it stopped. approx 20 feet down a grassy/gravelly imbankment.. One of my friends said if the sliders were on 1 of 2 things would have happened.. 1) the bike would have flipped once the slider dug into the grass.. or 2) it would have stopped a lot sooner and I wouldn't have had as much trouble getting it out of the ditch. But either way the bike would still have been scratched..

Your bike looks pretty clean still. I'd just get a new decal for that side and paint the stator cover. Don't waste your money on fairing paint.
