all Blackberries have a pin...regardless of having the data package you can pin message anyone with a blackberry.

Go into a text message box and type "mypin" and press space: viola! You get your Pin number and you can now use the blackberry messenger unlimited to any other blackberry user.

also, the more common way to find it, is to look on the side of the box.

Or go into options > status and you will see it there as well

+1 what vpsophmoore said....the PIN is basically the identifier of the phone, options < status, or look under the battery. but I thought to use BB messager you had to have a data package....why would get a BB without one?

I've heard both ways on using PIN (i.e. you do/don't need a data package) and I'm not 100% which is true... off the top of my head I think the blackberry rep told me you don't need one... but honestly if you have a blackberry, get the freakin unlimited data package.

With all due respect, but Windows Mobile is, indeed, garbage. I would rather not have a data device than use Windows Mobile (5 or 6). When 6.1 comes out I will be willing to reevaluate, but until then...BB 4.2 FTW!
