Stupid Murphy
So I was hoping I'd have my bike 100% today, and be able to take a ride before it got dark...
First I was replacing chain and sprockets, since the old ones were worn and rusty. Previous owner obviously didn't own a torque wrench, it took 2 people and a 3 foot breaker bar to loosen the lock nuts on the rear sprocket. That took a couple hours, I tried for nearly an hour with my impact wrench, and it just sat there slamming into the sides doing nothing to them... Let them soak in liquid wrench for a while, then finally got a friend to come over and help brace things which I put my full wieght into that bar.
Next it was the chain. Sprocket Center sent me the wrong master link with my chain (Got a clip type instead of a rivet type). Fortunately they have excellent customer service, called them and they sent the new one out ASAP.
So I finally get everything done, turn the key... Nothing. Battery was dead
I also broke a screwdriver, and one socket... Today just was not my day...
