I love you man.... and I don't have theft coverage. The cost of the insurance and the cost of what my insurance would be after turning a claim... I'd be able to buy two new bikes.

Theft insurance will give you about 1/3 the bike's worth...better than nothing.

But the best insurance is to garage your bike....lock the steering lock...throw another lock through the rear wheel, put a motion detector and arm it,...lock the garage...and then park 3 cars with alarms in front of that. so the garage door can't be opened without first breaking into the car, then the other...then another...then the garage.

Most thieves won't go to all that trouble, and if they do...they better be quick...I'm a light sleeper...and sleep right next to the garage.

If I catch a thief...he is dead...no if's and's or buts.

That sucks about your loss.

Just rest assured that he will be caught sometime...somewhere.

a-holes? I don't think so...I'm pretty sure we all have theft insurance.
Be nice, the next time some dude bangs your girlfriend with all your buddies watching we will think of something heartless to say.

I just didn't expect to have people make jokes about the situation. I was on vacation when the bike was stolen. The bike was put away for the winter, locked up in a garage with two cable locks securing it. Whoever stole it really wanted the bike.
I can see why you didn't have theft insurance, homeowner's insurance didn't cover it? That was a stupid question... I'm gonna go in my garage and see if any of my crap got stolen.

Hopefully that old saying it true "what goes around comes around"

Homeowner's insurance wouldn't cover it. They said that because the bike could have been insured on its own it does'nt fall under homeowner's.

Well this is what im riding now,I paintedit with Krylon semi flat spray paint.I think it came out pretty good, what do you guys think?

looks pretty sweet, and im sorry about your loss. it really sucks you didn't have full coverage...

don, you don't have theft for that pretty bike of yours? im sure if you shop around, you could receive a decent quote for full coverage. i'm paying under 500 for full coverage.
