State Farm rocks!!!
Don't know where else to put this so I figured off topic since it didn't match anything really. Nonetheless, I purchased my bike on December 26 and of course called my insurance agency for insurance. USAA uses Progressive to do their motorcycle insurance. So I got a quote of $4050/year JUST FOR MY BIKE! Sweet Lord. I told them no way and since I am not riding really right now, give me the liability for $250/year. So they did. I told the wife and she flipped..."You can ride without full coverage!" I agreed and started shopping around. I mean, my record is clean as a whistle, no tickets, no accidents, married, 3 kids, 30, etc. I called State Farm today. I got a quote of $500 for a year of FULL COVERAGE!!!! I am sure this has been discussed here before but still. I was shocked at the 1000% difference in insurance premiums. Oh, and this is with a $500 deductible versus the Progressive $1K deductible.
I liked State Farm so much, they wanted business too, so they offered to finance my bike for 2 points lower on APR than Honda. Plus the GAP insurance is included with State Farm so I get my $600 back from Honda! Woo hoo! What a great way to start the new year or end the old year....However you want to look at it!

Yeah, I was stoked. The agent said "We need to see the bike and take pictures. But we close at 12pm today..." This was like 11:30. I told them I will be there in 5 mins!!! Went through everything and cancelling that Progressive crap!
Progressive is a good company, but you pay out the *** for their services. (They quoted me those quadruple figured quotes too.) I'm now dealing with State Farm with my bike, so I'll let everyone know how it all plays out once I get my total-loss check in hand.
state farm here. 04 1000rr (own), 30, no accidents/claims, tickets, single, 650/yr with 1k ded (comp/collision). 56 a month. and i get 2000.00 for aftermarket modifications. but i have ALOT more into it than 2k.
