I know it is strang to say about the insurance company but As most of the you my 954 was stolen on Thanksgiving and the police and State farm have given up looking for it (about time) but they cut me a check for $6,754.31 today for the 02 I cna not beleave it was that much.

Now the sad part they never recoverd the bike so I will have to get another one but not till spring at best. I have to pay some bills before I get another toy. I still have the goldwing BUT it is not the same.

I will get something In the spring I hope? I need a better job that so I can but what I want 07 1000rr I do not like the 08 that much. But I will make that call when the time comes. but for now I need to pay other bills before I get another bikepayment.

 

I do not like the 1000rr. When I was looking for a bike (as some of you would remember I had help totaling my last 954) I tried out the 1000rr. I did not like it. The 954 is so much more simplistic. The 1000rr feels like a race bike. The ergonomics suck for the street.

Very cool Rich... I'm glad you got cut a check... I had my bike stolen on January 6th and progressive did me right too... I got paid right around what you did. I was thinking 1000RR too but honestly its just a matter of finding the right bike for me.

 

Rich not to throw a kink in your plans, since i dont know your situation fully, BUT. Since i see your in Chicago, buy one now, save yourself a few grand, prices skyrocket in spring, you can get one now for a steal. Just something to think about bro, glad ya got paid finally.

I would love to buy another bike now BUT In the spring I left my nice 70K job to start a home flipping CO. with my friend and we all know the housing market has taken a crap and I have lost around 150K in the past few months. So my credit has taken a big hit and for thefunny part, I was in credit/ collections (bill collector) well I ran collections departments for a building supply co. then A credit union for 7 years. Now my credit is all jacked up and it is making it very hard to find a good job.


It kills me too I have a friend that offered me a 03 954 with 2K miles for 4K and I had to tell him NO [:@]but I have to pay bills befor I can buy another toy, I still have the goldwing so I can still ride but it is not a fun bike.
