I think your being to hard on them, the probably wanted to get home before the ice cream melted, & its not as if shopping trolleys are so badly designed that they don't roll to well on gravel & bitumen roads.
Actually the trolley was probably a present for their mum.

 

Squids gotta eat too.

 

And sadly, It will most likely end up wheels up in a near by creek.


I must say, I'm a little suprised no one has come up with a sidecar/cart joke.
