Sport Bike Road Trips?

When I got back into riding about 4 years ago, I hadn't been on a bike in 20 years. I caught a flight to Minniapolis, MN on a Friday morning. The seller picked me up at the airport, and took me to his home. I took the bike, a 1994 1000F for a ride down the street and back. All was well, paid the money, he signed the title and I left. That was around 6PM Friday night. I rode until about 9 PM that night heading S. Sat morning, on the road at 7, and at around 8 PM that night I was in N. GA about 860 miles. Sunday morning on the road at 6 and home in S FL by late afternoon another 730 miles.
I'll follow up with more of my other ebay Bike purchases later.

Milwaukee WI
Syracuse NY

Well, I did it. 150 miles, 2.5 hours, 1 stop for gas, no problems. Tank bag full of clothes and the lambskin seat cover were a HUGE plus. Felt like I was riding a pillow downstate. Wrists didn't bug me at all, I think because the palms on my gloves have a good grip and i can just rest it on the throttle and have it stay put.
Thanks for everyone's help!!

I've done a few 1000 mile days - last summer I did a 5 day trip around the north eastern states and Ontario/Quebec back to my home in Nova Scotia.
You just have to build up a tolerance to it - plus you learn some tricks of the trade. Once a body part is sore, it will be sore for the rest of the trip. The biggest tip I can give is don't sit still all balled up for an hour as something will get sore and you will feel that nag you the whole trip... move around, stretch, it doesn't matter how funny it looks.
I think its posted here... one moment.
AH! here is a good thread for you:

Just rode a 350 miles each way run with the wife on the back of the '04 CBR600F4i. I used the tank bag and she wore a light back pack with two days worth of clothing and hygeine gear. Trip was not hard and we were thankful for the banana seat versus the covered plywood on the RR we almost bought. We stopped once on the way up for fuel and took our time on the return home. Could have easily gone further if needed.
