Default SUMMER BIKE TRIPS

WHAT KIND OF BIKES TRIPS DOES ANYONE HAVE PLANNED FOR THE SUMMER/SPRING/FALL?

I WILL BE TAKING MY BIKE DOWN TO TOPSAIL ISLAND, NC IN AUGUST.

OTHER THAN THAT, JUST LOCAL RIDING PLANNED FOR NOW.

(OH YEA- FINALLY PICKED UP MY BIKE ON THE 29TH- BEEN BUSY RIDING. LOVE IT!!!!! CANT BELIEVE I HAVE WAITED SO LONG TO GET A SPORTBIKE- WILL POST PICS SOON)

I THINK I READ SOMEWHERE ONLINE OF A LOCAL BIKE RALLY FOR WOMEN IN GETTYSBURG, PA DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS- ???

glad you are enjoying the new bike i am in the same camp.

unrelated to your ?, but one thing you might consider is laying off the caps locks. just a bit of unsolicited netiquette advice. it reads as though you are screaming at everyone otherwise!

cheers
Lori

I'm staying within the tri-state are with the bike. I thought about taking it down to VA beach, but can't trust the weather coming home.

In a couple of weeks we have our annual Flood Run in which any kind of bike is welcome to attend. Where I live, (SE corner of MN) we are pretty close to the Mississippi River and every spring and fall they have this event. Covering about 150 miles on either side of the Mississippi, riders can follow the river up and back with several stops in local small towns. Regardless if the weather is decent, it draws a large crowd and money is raised for donation to the Gillette Childrens Hospital.

You will see all kinds of bikes and riders on this trip and it's a lot of fun plus it raises money for a great cause!

Click here for the web page: http://www.floodrun.org/

On a personal note, I was in West Texas a few weeks ago and stayed in Garner State Park and rode thru some beautiful places. I will upload pictures into my gallery soon! Put on about 3500 miles in 20 days.

My husband and I will be venturing around the state of Colorado and neighboring states the last two weeks of June. We're both taking 16 days off of work to just bike around.
