I'm curious as to how the CBR650F stacks up against the CBR600RR....numbers wise

I see its got the banana seat, slightly lower seat height, and higher bars. so it would be a more comfortable ride

but, performance wise? i havent been able to find much to compare...torque, hp, redline, weight, etc

anyone have some good comparison numbers?

 

The 650 looks to be putting out 87 hp around 11,000 compared to (if memory serves!) the RR's 120ish at 15k. Big difference although honestly they're entirely different bikes.

I think the 650 should be compared more to something like Kaw's 650r.

 

Just saw this thread the first time. At first glance I was like "cooooolll!" Totally want that 650f as I could never ride a proper rr cause of my wrist but daym, 87hp?! My 91 600 F2's got more than that!!! Oh well, not gonna afford a new bike for years anyway so when I do, I hope they've came up with something a bit more sensible than that so I don't have to turn my jacket completely...
