I'm looking for a first bike and I have my eye on a few early to mid 80's VF 500's, 750's and maybe 1000's. Good bike? Good first bike? They're cheap, cheap to plate and quite good looking. What about that motor? You dont see any V-4's around anymore so would that be indicitive of a poor design? Although, a little fixing is not a big deal for me. However, I'm not interested in junk lol (but i find it hard to believe anything honda has produced being junk from my experience).

VFR "Interceptors" are one of the best reviewed bikes of the last 20 years. Lots of professional bike reviewers ride everything and say they would buy an Interceptor because of the way it does everything well and is comfortable, capable and easy to handle. They are also very reliable. They also have a sort of cult following.
