Smokers, aaahhhh what to say without bringing the crazys out.......but at least I to can comment about 2nd hand smoke [:'(] my mom and sisters used to smoke all the time when I was a kid, even at the dinner table ! back late 60's thru 70's pretty disgusting !! [:@]

 

My parents smoked in the car and house around me. Now I smoke. I think that is the worst result.

IMO, only weak minded people smoke still smoke given today's information. They tend to be shortsighted, not well educated, and inconsiderate. Not all...but most. Being addicted to anything that clearly has no redeeming values is simply stupid.

I belive the only reason why it isn't illegal is due to the greed of our government. For those people that smoke, I feel bad for their children that will have to haul around their oxygen tanks and sit in the emergency room while their parents are hooked up to a ventilator.

Sorry the rant, I lost my mother to emphasemia last year, her lungs could no long expell enough carbon dioxide and her blood went acidic. What happened then was her internal organs just came apart at the seams. Her quality of life, as well as my Fathers and her kids, was severly impacted over the past 10-15 years. It was a slow horrible death that I don't wish upon too many people.

 

My parents used to smoke around me and my lil brother and sister all the time. Never really liked the smell of it and said i wouldnt ever pick up a smoke...boy was i wrong. Got it under control now but i still have that habit of when i drink i need a smoke. Its weird cause i wont drink for like a month or so and then as soon as im bout half way done wit that second beer im cravin that cig like its crack or somethin. Im glad that they outlawed smokin in restaurants tho cause that ****e is nasty when ur tryin to eat and then u gots to smell some rank *** smoke comin over to ur table cause somebody cant wait five minutes to pay there bill and walk outside to have a smoke...*********.

 

I've seen pregnant chicks at the bar smoking and drinking. Some people just don't care and it's sad.

When moved from Cali, they had just past the state law that banned smoking in public areas (about ten years ago). I wish they would do that in Oregon because my wife manages a bar and she smokes about fifty packs a night! That whole smoking when drinking is an asskicker...tough habit to kick, but I did it. I enjoy a stogie every once and again, but it is a totally different thing, and it doesn't satisfy a cigarette craving.

 

Those who bash smokers saying they are not educated, weakminded ,etc, etc. Obviously arent addicted nor know what its like to be addicted.
Therefore are just as uneducated, yada yada ya. Yes I agree it's stupid, but maybe you could bash the makers or the government to allow such a product to be produced.

Ahh, I think it's time for a smoke.................

 

My parents smoked around me my whole life, and sadly I have asthma as a result, but better than emphazima or some ****. Just glad that neither me or my brother smoke. I agree that parents should try their best to keep it out of the kids' air as much as possible...let them pick it up themselves when theyre old enough if they want..dont force the effects on them.
