I went to the usual gathering place last night and there was the city's new Challenger patrol car sitting in the parking lot. The lucky cop who gets to drive it came out and talked to us for a little while and showed off some of its tricks. The thing lights up like the 4th of July with all the lights on. They put lights everywhere! In the hood scoops, on mirrors, in windows, in headlights, taillights, and fog lamps. I mean everywhere. It has a bunch of cameras on it, too, pointed off to the sides, front, and rear. The cop said that he can cruise at 100 mph and get info on every single (unobstructed) license plate he passes. His computer tells him if the registration is expired, if there are warrants out, etc. "It's like shooting fish in a barrel," is how he put it.

Pretty cool to sit there talking to him with about 10 other sport bikers. That kind of stuff just makes me respect police even more. Plus, now I know I need to watch out for a black Challenger when I ride.

I only had my phone with me (which I almost never use for pictures) and didn't think to pull it out until he was leaving. One of the other guys got some footage on his phone. Next time I see him, I'll ask about it.

Okay, guys. I'm going on a mission. Next time I see it, I'll get pulled over and take pictures while I'm at it.
