I'm reading a bunch of stuff on tailofthedragon.com since I'm going in a week and a half and I don't even know if I want to go anymore! The TN LEO seem like they suck!! I have a feeling I'm going to come home with like 10 tickets. lol Are camera mounts illegal on a motorcycle?

 

The Gap was teeming with cops on the TN side when I was there. Go anyway -- and don't forget the Cherohala Skyway.

 

Im pretty sure you wont be bothered.I rode from Illinois to Carolina and seen 3 police total...i wouldnt sweat the details...just pack some rain gear and hit the road....

 

on the dragon they are all over the place. 4-5 at any given point, but as long as your not draggin' a knee they don't really care. I rode with a camera mount all weekend and got no problems. Ride the Cherohala skyway!! not a single cop all weekend

 

I was up there last weekend. Three were a couple on the Dragon Sunday, but none at all Monday and I got a nice run in. There are so many other roads out there to ride anyways that I could spend a week up there and not care if I rode the Dragon.

Make sure you ride 28 all the way from the Dragon to Franklin! That whole route rocks! look up Wayah Road and do that one too. I got a few other secret routes that all kick ***!

 

^^^^^^^ Please enlighten me! I'll be getting there the 25th sometime during the day and leaving for home on the 27th. I haven't decided if I'm leaving in the morning for a 10hour ride and get home in 1 day or if I want to spread it out over 2 days and get home Sunday.
