Not my day to be riding
I went and did the Nebo loop with a couple of friends, which is an amazing road, but I don't think it was my day to be out there.
I went wide coming out of a turn, off the road, and nearly laid it down. Have no idea how I kept it up.
Then there was a long straight and my buddy got way out ahead, so I tore off after him. He started slowing way down because he saw a hazard ahead. He didn't signal or tap the brakes, so I was still accelerating when I noticed he was now only doing about 30 mph and there were cows coming onto the road. I braked hard, barely keeping the bike in control as I come up on my friends tail. At this point, the cows look back and see us, so they start running at a diagonal across our lane. I'm still doing about 50-60 mph. I slide past my friend and try to cut in front of him to avoid the cows, but still ended up side-swiping one. Hurt my foot for a while, as kicking a cow at that speed would, and my spare helmet on the side had some pieces broken off of it.
Coming back home to Provo, I was taking it really easy, especially when I pull onto University Avenue and a cop pulls up right behind me. He follows me for several miles and then finally pulls me over. Turns out that when the cow hit my helmet, the helmet severed one of my turn signals off, so he was pulling me over for an improper lane change. He let me off with a fix-it ticket and then we talked about his bored out, NOSed cruiser.
I'm just glad to be back home alive without any hits to my driving record.

Actually kowen, I'd say it was your day to ride seeing as how you hit a cow and escaped with only minor damage. How many people can say that?
