ORIGINAL: QuinC

i live in an apartment and i park it in the front of my parking space then park my car behind it. i also keep it covered.
Yea, that's what I might do for the summer time. Had also thought about locking a chain to my car to my bike, but what would happen when you take your car out? It might just be a good time for them to ****** the bike from under you. Too bad apartment complexes dont have bolted bike parking spots, it would sure help people who's main transportation is on a motorcycle.

My bike is covered, with a disc lock and parked next to a boat (can't see it from most of the parking lot.) However when I'm gone for more then a day, I chain it to the cement stoppers (for parked cars) along with my trailer chained to a different stopper. I'm still a little worried though, not about somebody hoping on it and taking off, but instead somebody cutting both chains, and throwing the bike on the trailer, then taking off. When your bike only ways 370lbs, it only takes two people to harshly throw it on a trailer, and tow it away for good. All of that will be over in less then a week though (new apartment has garage parking )
