I'm with Jbaz here. I actually went out and bought some earbuds, I think made by Sony, that have 3 different sized rubber plugs that are interchangeable. I put them in and then as soon as I put on my helmet it pushes them out and it's really annoying. I actually spent about $300 on an mp3 player and head phones just for riding and now it's collecting dust on my desk shelf. I was always interested in helmet speakers. Does anyone use them?

I have a Samsung WEP 200 bluetooth headset that actually fits inside my helmet and my Nokia lets me listen to music on it while I'm riding. I have the phone set to auto-answer so when someone calls me it rings in my ear and I can have a conversation with them. Most of the time it goes like this:

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"
"WHAT????"
"WHAT???????"
"HUH???"
"OH ME, I'M JUST OUT RIDING MY BIKE"
"SURE I'LL CALL YOU BACK LATER"

 

I got some random sony headphones from walmart, the ear piece has a plastic thing that loops up and around the back of my ear. Holds perfectly in place when i put and take off my helmet. Doesnt move at all. Sounds great when i ride. It also might depend on your helmet. I know my friends helmet doesnt have holes cut out inside for his ears so his ears are all mashed in there lol.

 

i have an ipod and sony earphones that wrap around the back of the ear too...they are ok...kinda get uncomfortable if in a long time...ears start to hurt...but other than that i love riding with music

 

The only music I listen to is the sweet drone of my slip-on pipe singing as the RPM's go up and down...

 

I have shure e3c headphones best investment you could hope for....better than bose sound for $100...plus they are earplugs that block out 30+ dbs of outside crap

 

I see a lot of stuff about not being able to hear with music, ok put it this way unless your wearing some kind of ear plug (with or without music) regardless of how much you paid for your helmet. If your doing anything more than 50 mph. the wind noise (sometimes well in excess of 100 decibles) Has to potential to damage your hearing enough so that you won't be able to hear Sweet F.A. execept for the high pitch drone from Tinnitus (damaged ear drum) check this out http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcyc...lmet-noise.htm
I ride with earplugs set up for for music & my bike to bike CB, (which means I don't have to pump up the volume to hear it, I can still hear my bike & other road noises, like traffic & Sirens) they just exclude the wind noise, (which can be loud enough to prevent you from hearing properly anyway).
