Looked at lots of websites, and comparing it with the historical artifacts, press clipping copies, etc...my dad and his brother have.

This site is about as close as what I know to be my ancestor.

Born in Chambers County, Alabama on June 5, 1850, Patrick Floyd Jarvis Garrett was one of seven children born to John and Elizabeth Garrett. Three years later, Pat's father, John Garrett, purchased a Louisiana plantation in Claiborne Parish, where young Garrett grew up. A tall, thin angular man with prominent cheek bones, Garrett left Louisiana for Dallas County, Texas at the age of 19. There, he worked on the large LS Ranch in west Texas as a cowboy and cattle gunman when rustling was rampant in the area. From there he joined up with W. Skelton Glenn, as a buffalo hunter. However, he soon got into a disagreement with a fellow hunter over some hides. The altercation soon led to gun play and when the other man drew on Garrett, Pat shot him dead.

[quote]It was at the saloon that Pat Garrett met and often gambled with William Bonney, better known as Billy the Kid. The two were seen together so often they soon took on the nicknames of “Big Casino” and “Little Casino.” On November 7, 1880, Garrett was appointed as the Lincoln County Sheriff. Friends or not, his first vow was to bring the current reign of lawlessness to an end with the primary goal of apprehending Billy the Kid. Garrett set-up many traps and ambushes in

Why yes I am. This was a while ago, the 70's. You'll have to use the internet to find out about it but my cousin Terese was a terrorist. She belonged to a terrorist group in the 70's called the George Jackson Brigade. They would rob banks, blow things up and generally raise hell. Terese got a number of years in a California prison. She's doing well now and has all that nonsense behind her. She has had her name ommited from publications of the brigade. She is my dad's brother's daughter. He worked at Peoples Bank at the time. His support of her during the trial's cost him his job but I don't think he really cared. He retired during the trials in the late 70's but ended up living and working with the Jesusit priests in San Franciso and Portland. He worked at the Catholic archdiocese's on the west coast revamping all of their totally screwed up bookkeeping and made and saved them millions. I guess they needed it for the crap that's gone down lately with the priests and their screwed up behavior.

It's been said that Billy the Kid never killed without reason, meaning he was not truly an outlaw but maybe a vigilante. This coupled with the fact that he was so young, I think, has led to him being forever immortalized.

Never had heard of them. Searching now...

BTW, with the current state of affairs on terrorism...I'll bet the FBI has profiled you quite well.

Some...interesting philosophy they have there.

Hmmm...my boss is buddies with a lot of FBI agents.

I can maybe pull a report...it would take awhile..but...
