Default Recommendation where to sleep @ The Dragon

I'm taking off work Oct 25 and 26 and heading down to the tail for a couple days to ride and I'm wondering if anyone has a recommendation on where to stay around there? I'm looking for something pretty inexpensive I don't care about hot tubs and swimming pools and all that crap I just want a bed and there NOT to be cockroaches and centipedes and snakes in my room, so basically somewhat clean. Anyone know of any of the inns or are there actual hotels around the area?

Whatcha think?

Mike

Definitely look at the http://www.kickstandlodge.com/
Fred and Mo are fantastic, they made us dinner (ribs!!), woke up before us and made us breakfast, and provided all kinds of riding routes to take. We stayed in one of the bunkhouses---it was great. Free beer, free food, less than 10min from the dragon, and it was only $15 per night!

If you go, please make sure that you tell them that their "boys from kentucky" sent you.

Hearing all of these threads where people's going down to the Dragon upsets me because I can't go. Take bunches of pics and get as much info as you can because next year I'm going! Talk to Don (the Administrator)...I was suposed to go to the Dragon with him and a group of people this weekend but am unable to. They're going this weekend so maybe he can get you some lodge info or something. Have fun on your trip and be safe!

Here is where we always stay. Owners are great, place is cheap and they stock firewood for evening fires outside.....
