Default The Rain, the rain

God wot a night/day, gail forced winds hit my area about 10m last night, bringing down tress & power lines, lifted roofs. To-day to add worry to misery, huge electrical storm, together with the winds (not to mention hail), big seas, at least 3 ships washed up on the beaches in the harbour (about a mile away), my street outside is like a friggin river & laping under garage door, had heaps of water coming in at one stage. eased off for an hour , but now its back with a vengance. Trying to figure out where I can take my bike, but roads are cactus, flooded & huge bits of debris on the roads anyway.
There saying with the tide thats due soon, because of hugh swell, will stop it going out and block the storm water run off. So much for living near the water, Bloody hell, where's my insurance papers. and to top it off, I'm out of beer.

I'll be real quick, Newcastle now has a new tourist attraction, huge big cargo ship on its beach. (i'll post some pics) had 12 inches of water come into this place. 1st thing to go was the computer. new mother board, and days of reinstalling software. Storms killed 9 people, 5 (4 plus 1 that went to their aid) died when their car crashed after the road collasped underneath them, some guy got sucked down a storm water pipe, Newcastle and surrounds suffered much damage.
Water got to my bike, but now ok, except for rust all over the place, now everytime it rains, I get paranoid it will happen again, spent days cleaning the place up, and yep, well stocked with beer.
