I have been riding in the rain a lot this year, and my dunlop qualifiers are great tires on dry or wet pavement. we had alot of rain for a few months it seemed lik.e and I was tired of driving my civic. I do alot of interstate riding also, and when it starts pouring I just tuck in, you wont see me under a under pass unless its hailing. I just ride a little slower, and leave more space for stopping distance....and I try not to drag the knee in the croners

I always wear my leather jacket when it rains, so I dont see the point of spending money on a rain jacket. You might also want some waterproof gloves, I was looking at some teknic water proof gloves since they are clearanced down. let me know how you lik.e those pants.

I had some Pilot Powers on my F3, rode that thing in the rain all the time. Took it easy riding and only ever lost traction when accelerating hard. Now I just have to save up enough cash to buy some PP's for my RR.

+1 on pilot powers. I've ran them in the rain quite a few times. I'm actually impressed with the amount of traction they have in the rain. Wheelies in the rain are actually pretty easily done.... If your into that sorta thing. I've never pushed them cornering in the rain though... so I can only say that in a straight line, they are awesome.

Keep it smooth
Stay off the rear brake as much as possible, and brake in a straight line if you can....
Slow down 20 % from dry speeds
Watch for shiny spots on tar - can be oil/diesel spills
Furniture polish on visor helps water dispersion
Grow 4 extra eyes to watch for idiots.....
The list goes on......
