So guys I just got my bike out of storage and it was sitting on the driveway and I looked at it and I noticed that there are 3 hoses that are sticking out of the bottom!!!! Is that normal? They look like they've been cut. I hope it's not my brake lines!



I've also started out the season as I do EVERY year. With a burn from the muffler. Usually it's on my leg after a ride in shorts around the subdivision to dry the brakes and whatever off after a good wash but tonight I was holding a flashlight to see where I'm spraying brake cleaner when suddenly I feel a sharp sensation in my left arm. Oh that must be the muffler after my ride to Walmart to get brake cleaner. Ow. God bless aloe vera. =/

And they're just vent tubes...but maybe you better take pics just in case...

i know 1 tube is for fuel overflow and fuel breather, the other two are for like an oil breather and coolent overflow... although i'm probably and most likely wrong about that.

All normal. Though, I'm curious, Spirit seems to have the inside track on all things snowboarding82. I'm just sayin...

So what if I'm jealous? Just means I care is all...

 

BTW Mike hopefully you can add didnt start my bike on fire to the list. Brakecleen is quite flammable, so uh dont spray it near hot exhaust

 

I need to check to make sure my brake lines aren't running thru, near, under or generally around my engine!!

Overflow/vent tubes, buddy...completely normal.

 

^^^Shouldn't be anywhere near your exhaust other than the rear running next to it on the swingarm.

 

YIKES! Didn't even think about that, lol. Dammit man, he's asking for it!

 

lol The hose thing was a joke. We just get atleast 1 "3 hose" question at the start of every season so I was just being a smart @$$ and figured I'd be the first to post it and see how many "USE THE SEARCH" comments I'd get.
