Q for those healthy gym type ppl here. About food
Its pretty simple, you need to eat a healthy balanced diet. By diet I mean eat some good foods, not just 5 bags of doritos everyday to consume 2000 or 2500 calories.
Fat people really do **** me off, its because they are so weak. Losing weight is simple, dont eat as much and exercise. Maybe one day science will find a way to turn off the so called "fat" gene, but until then instead of eating at mcdonalds twice a day, try eating something more healthy at home. Not everyone's metabolism is the same, mine is fairly high at the age of 27still. I can comsume 2-2500 calories a day and with working out I can maintain my girlish figure. Some people can only consume 1500 calories a day. Look at things like saturated fat, those are bad things to consume lots of.
All this high tech, either low carb, or high carb, cheese only, meat only, no bread, no milk, diets are jokes. They south beach diet guy died after balooning up to 300lbs because of the way his body was treated.

Everyone is different, i have been trying to fine tune my diet myself and i have it close. I weight train 5 days a week and consume about 5000 calories a day. 50% of them being protein, 25% carbs, and 25% fat. Its really not so bad though, i thought it would be kinda rough, but heck i get to eat like 8 times a day
2500 calories isn't alot if you are active. If you are 150 lbs, 35 years old and a couch potato you will get fat.
When I lift for size I eat about 4000 calories in 6 or 7 meals a day, lift twice, morning/afternoon and no cardio.
Be carful with eating simple carbs alone or 3 hours before bed. The insulin spike can be bad and make you fat. There is a whole theory about managing your growth hormones with food and timing that will help keep you thin.

1500 calories a day should be beer. You'll feel great! Kidding.
Cardio and weight training 5-6 days a week. Eat smart, take the advise from some of these guys here. +1.
Excercise and eating right you should be able to consume 2500-3000 calories a day. 5-6 small meals throughout the day helps.
And don't ban all junk, you'll drive yourself crazy. I do love chocolate.
