Just out of curiosity, how many people have seen previous bikes they've sold out and about? I found one of mine today!

 

i ran into one of mine but unfortunately it was in the junk yard..

 

Once they're gone I never see them again.

 

I see mine quite regularly out and about, 2000 f4, never been able to see it when I'm on my bike so I can go say "hey that used to be mine how's it runnin lol"

 

Last bike I had wasn't running. Sold it. Still haven't seen it. Assume it still is not

 

Back in 2008 I sold a 1983 CB400. I did a lot of engine work on it, picked up a few new parts, resprayed the bodywork and got it back into pretty decent shape. In about 2010 I saw it sat outside a motorcycle garage waiting to be worked on. It looked like crap. Very disappointing to see.

 

I still own both motorcycles I've ever bought, so can't say I have!

Last time I sold a car, I believe it went down to the Chicago area. I never saw it again.

06 busa- spray painted, been dropped, chromed out (EWW)
03 gsxr 1k- stretched out, lowerd, painted orange (wtf?)
98 superhawk- changed exhaust, new levers (finally tastefully modded)

 

Had a suzuki gs125 for my first bike. when I bought it I was told a heap of lies but being naive I went for it. Had it a little while then sold it on to an experienced biker. Told him the engine was worn out and the rings were probably shot as it was burning oil. I even pulled the plug and showed how fouled up it was. Nevertheless he took it for a little run, came back and said he'd just have to get used to it. He took it away for a bargain and I saw him on it a few months later still struggling to keep it running at a set of lights. Never say die!
