Previous bikes?
Just wondering what are your previous bikes you guys have had?? some may not have any but im sure some do, me only being 23 years old, have been around bikes my whole life, and started off in the dirt and used to race Moto-X(personally i think the dirt is the best place to learn because you get used to the sliding sensation ..and wont freak out and dump it) but anyways im rambling on, my previous street bike are 1987 Yamaha RZ 350, was a blast until some old lady made a left infront of me and i T-boned her at 60 mph, then i had a 1995 Kawasaki ZX9-R, insurance got more expensive so i had to sell it, but now i got my most favorite bike the 01 F4i ..i have ridden many sport bikes and i fell right in love with it, oh ya i also got a 03 KX 500 that my test dumby bike ..lol

RE: Previous bikes?
I had a 99 Zx7r for 2 months and rode it 6 times. What a peice of ****!!!!!! As a CBR man I would gladly admit that I like the Kawasaki line of 636r. My best friend has one and I think its a great bike.
Acceleration was wacky on the ZX7 and that bike was as heavy as it can get. However, that bike held down the rode amazingly. In the end the weight of the bike really got to me and the ****fing was a bit vague. On the F4i or any CBR u hear a clunk or feel the gear when you shift a release the clutch. On Zx7r, I would switch and not hear or feel anything. I think I had an automatic trasmission on that sports bike or something.
There are other great bikes that are in our catagory but I am not ready to give up my comfortable F4i just yet.

RE: Previous bikes?
My first bike was a l96 CBR600F3 loaner from my friend because a month after he got the bike he upgraded to a 98 CBR900RR, so hey, free bike to learn on...AWESOME.
Bought my own first bike when I got station in Japan and that was a 97 VTR1000F Firestorm (superchicken in the states.) Loved the bike, fast, torque was crazy..but I can't pass a gas station, the gas mileage sucked on the thing and not to mention it's got a sluggish suspension and 460lbs...I'm only 5'5. I put full titanium exhaust on it, 520 chain and sprocket, EBC HH pads, SS brake lines, integrated tail light and flush mount up front. Powerbronze undertail and hugger. And finished off with a set of Pilot Powers.
Now I ride a 06 600RR and I love this bike!! But with all the work done to it, I want to get a second bike to ride around...I'm thinking about a F4i cause it's such a comfortable bike to ride.... we'll see.

1968 Kawasaki 120 Road Runner SS
1967 Honda CB 160 (BAD *** Dirt Track Racer)
Another 1968 Road Runner SS (Dirt Track Racer)
[ In the 60's and 70's dirt track racing was VERY popular and we did tons of it]
1968 BSA 441 Victor (set up for street and road use. One of the best handling bikes I've ever ridden, but not fast at all.)
1976 Honda CB 360T (sweet little bike!)
1970 Honda CL 450
1972 BSA 500 Victor (this was a home grown chopper that would require a thread of its own to explain. VERY cool bike.)
1974 HD Sportster (POS)
1982 Yamaha Maxim (did lots of custom work on this one. Fast -- Fun -- and Gorgeous!)
1974 Honda CB 750

This is a little glimpse into my riding past... I've bought all of these bikes between November of 04 and now. I currently still own the silver ninja 250 and the F4i. The F4i is my favorite bike of all them, though lacking a little power, still an awesome bike.
